LUXURY TOUCH IN A BOSPHORUS MANSION
Kandilli Mansion Marazzi Travertino Kitchen Island & Countertops
THE BRIEF
In this prestigious project realized in a historic waterfront mansion (yalı) in Kandilli, Istanbul, Marazzi Travertino surfaces were chosen for the expansive kitchen island and perimeter countertops.
Combining the characteristic vein structure and timeless aesthetics of natural travertine with the superior durability of new-generation porcelain technology, this surface perfectly harmonizes with the traditional wooden cabinetry, offering an elegant culinary experience against the breathtaking view of the Bosphorus.
MATERIAL NARRATIVE
In this exclusive Kandilli mansion project, Marazzi Travertino, which pushes the aesthetic boundaries of natural stone, was expertly utilized. Vein matching was masterfully applied to achieve a continuous, flowing look on the massive central island and the long perimeter countertops framing the Bosphorus view. Thanks to its non-porous structure, unlike natural travertine, it provides absolute protection against stains, scratches, and moisture, while effortlessly integrating with the historical wooden texture of the space to create a warm, inviting, and highly functional atmosphere.
