THE BRIEF
Designing for superyachts requires a masterful fusion of ultra-luxury aesthetics and rigorous engineering precision. Located in the glamorous harbor of Monaco, this multi-deck superyacht project features stunning natural stone applications for master suite vanities and grand bathroom wall claddings.
To overcome the strict weight constraints of marine architecture without compromising on grandeur, innovative honeycomb-backed marble panels were utilized. The result is a seamless, opulent interior that elegantly withstands the dynamic marine environment while reflecting the endless blue of the Mediterranean.
MATERIAL NARRATIVE
The selected Calacatta Viola marble was milled down to a mere few millimeters and bonded to an aerospace-grade aluminum honeycomb core. This cutting-edge innovation reduces the stone's weight by up to 80% while preserving its solid appearance and drastically increasing impact resistance against marine vibrations.
