Taksim Tümşah Han Commercial Restroom Trough Sink
THE BRIEF
Situated in a high-traffic commercial building in Gümüşsuyu Taksim, this project focuses on a large, custom-designed Corian Glacier White trough sink for a shared restroom facility.
The custom multi-user trough sink is fitted with six electronic sensor faucets, ensuring maximum hygiene, reduced contact, and significant water conservation. The seamless integrated basin and a hidden, sloped linear drain channel create a sleek, minimalist aesthetic while ensuring optimal functionality in a busy public space.
MATERIAL NARRATIVE
Corian Glacier White solid surface was selected for its durability, ease of maintenance, and the ability to form complex monolithic shapes without visible seams. Its non-porous nature provides superior hygiene essential for commercial spaces, preventing bacterial growth and water damage. The specific trough-sink design with an integrated slope ensures efficient water flow to a hidden linear drain.
